Technical Inspector

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a technical inspector to join a unique and award-winning housing association.

As a technical inspector you will provide a professional, responsive, and effective surveying and technical inspection service to residents and Phoenix colleagues, while working to ensure that our residents are at the heart of our service. 

You will be responsible for working as directed on damp and condensation diagnosis and resolution, or other property damage; diagnosis and remedy of property problems; pre-and post-inspections and quality management. You will produce professional property and defects diagnosis reports and remedial works specifications in relation to property surveys undertaken, including Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments. 

The successful applicant will have the ability to write clearly and effectively and deliver technical information to a wide range of audiences, coupled with good analytical skills, an eye for detail and the ability to handle numerical, property and financial information.  

A positive approach to excellent customer service, care delivery and a commitment to quality is also required for this role, with a good level of knowledge and understanding of property management, property inspections and defects diagnosis in a social housing environment.

Resident Liaison Advisor

Job Description

Phoenix Community Housing is looking for a resident liaison advisor to join a unique and award-winning housing association.

The resident liaison advisor's role ensures that customers receive all the information and support they need to manage the disruption caused when major or extensive works are carried out to their homes. 

You will work with colleagues, partners and contractors to ensure they put our residents' needs at the centre of our approach to delivering services and contracts, so that disruption is minimised and residents are kept informed in a planned and co-ordinated way throughout the process for all major and planned works.

An understanding of contracts and knowledge of the major works process is essential for this role.  We are looking for a clear communicator who is focused on providing services that meet the needs of residents.

A positive approach to excellent customer service, care delivery and a commitment to quality is essential for this role.

Fleet Manager

Job Description

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Fleet Manager to join a unique and award-winning housing association.

As a Fleet Manager you will be responsible for the operational management, delivery and performance of our fleet of vehicles, with a focus on vehicle and driver safety, sustainability and value for money.  

We are looking for someone who can develop and implement opportunities for improvement who is also hands-on with the everyday requirements of the fleet.

You will be someone who has an eye for detail and can help us manage service providers and the services that surround the running of this service. 

The successful applicant will have the ability to manage our fleet – whether it be vehicle and licence checks or fuel card management.  It would help considerably if you have previously worked with telematics equipment too.

A positive approach to excellent customer service, care delivery and a commitment to quality is also required for this role as is a strong administrative ability.  You should be comfortable with every aspect of fleet management from procurement to disposal.  There is a real opportunity to shine here.

Digital Skills Advisor

Job Description

As a Digital Skills Advisor you will support residents to gain basic digital skills, promote the Connected Together programme our in-house digital device grant scheme. You will support low-income households to access low or no cost internet. You will be flexible to the needs of residents and embed a culture of empowerment and participation. You will work with colleagues to ensure Phoenix deliver excellent customer service. You will liaise with local partners and support residents experiencing digital by default services.

Key duties:

Provide face to face support to local people seeking help gaining basic digital skills at the Green Man, WG Grace Centre and when necessary, in their home.

Key skills:

You should possess good verbal communication and negotiation skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office suites and be email and internet confident.
